Kindermusik Our Time

The goals of Kindermusik Our Time classes are as follows:

  • to promote spontaneous music making in daily rituals at home;
  • to introduce basic musical concepts thorugh developmentally appropriate activities;
  • to provide opportunities for parents to take the lead in playing, dancing, and singing with their child in an unhurried manner and in their own special way; and
  • to encourage the building of characteristics related to successful learning in school such as self-confidence, curiosity, self-expression, decision making, self-control, attention, social skills and cooperation.

Kindermusik Our Time classes can include singing and chanting, dancing, exploration time, instrument play, vocal play, pretend play and story time.

The parent/caregiver attends the entire Kindermusik Our Time class. Classes run for forty-five minutes across an eighteen week semester.

Current classes:

  • Fridays at 9:30am - yes, we have limited vacancies;
  • Mondays at 10.30am - yes, we have vacancies;
  • The next semester starts on Monday 14th April, but we welcome parents and children joining through the term.

The next unit we will be enjoying is "Fiddle-dee-dee".
